Marika Reuling
DSU Board of Directors | President
Marika Reuling is a strategic and entrepreneurial executive whose career spans academia, the public and private sectors, and mission-driven enterprise. As Managing Director for Urban District Initiatives at Harvard University, Marika leads the teams shaping the long-term vision for hundreds of acres across Cambridge, Allston, and the Longwood Medical Area. Previously, as Chief of Staff to Harvard’s Executive Vice President, Marika helped build the governance, financial, and operational systems that support one of the world’s most complex universities.
Beyond academia, Marika has led in entrepreneurial and civic arenas. She was a part of Reuling Vineyard, an award-winning winery on California’s Sonoma Coast that exemplifies environmentally conscious land use and brand innovation. Named a Boston Business Journal “Top 40 Under 40,” Marika also serves on the National Anchor Institutions Task Force, the board of A Better City, and several university and civic committees.
Marika brings this same blend of strategic thinking, mission alignment, and community-rooted design to her work as a chair of the Duxbury Student Union board. She excels at turning vision into implementable programs, aligning stakeholders around shared goals, and designing environments that support learning, well-being, and belonging. She is also a parent in the DSU community, which grounds her board service in the lived experience of local families. She lives in Duxbury with her husband and two children.
