Angelique Kania
DSU Board of Directors
Angelique Kania brings a lifelong commitment to youth development, education, and community to her role on the DSU Board of Directors. For the past eight years, she has served as the Youth Director at Pilgrim Church of Duxbury, creating programs that help young people feel supported, connected, and confident as they navigate adolescence. Before moving to Duxbury, she taught in New York City public schools and holds a Master’s degree in Education — experience that gives her a deep understanding of what children need to feel safe, engaged, and encouraged.
As a mother of three now in their twenties, Angelique has seen firsthand how essential it is for kids to have spaces where they can grow independently while staying anchored to a caring community. She recognizes that DSU offers exactly that — a place where students can stretch their curiosity, build real-world life skills, and discover their strengths. She is especially inspired by DSU’s blend of creativity and purpose, from programs like the Amazing Race around Duxbury to hands-on learning experiences such as 3D printing camp and seasonal themed programs that captivate kids while supporting families.
To Angelique, the life skills DSU fosters — problem solving, independence, belonging, resilience — are gifts that last long beyond childhood. She believes strongly in DSU’s mission to nurture capable, caring humans who will shape the world and is honored to contribute her voice, experience, and passion to such an impactful organization.
