DESCRIPTION:5th grade and Middle School Parents… This is your Wake-Up Call! \nMost parents think they have more time. The average age children first encounter vaping\, alcohol\, peer pressure\, or risky online behavior is younger than most families expect. \nThe good news? Research shows one of the strongest protective factors isn’t punishment. \nIt’s having a trusted adult who knows how to start the conversation. \nJoin us for Guiding Good Choices\, a nationally recognized 4-session workshop designed for parents of children ages 9–14. \n\nBuild stronger communication\nLearn how to set boundaries that work\nHelp your child confidently say “no”\nStrengthen your family before the challenges begin\n\nFour sessions now can change hundreds of conversations later. \n\n\nDates: This program is offered on August 12th\, 13th\, 19th and 20th.\nLocation: The Duxbury Student Union\nMorning or Afternoon Sessions Offered: Select the session that is convenient for your family. Choose from the Morning Session 9:15-11:15 or Afternoon Session 4:15-6:15.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAugust 12th | 9:15am or 4:15pm Adult Session\nAugust 13th | 9:15am or 4:15pm Adult Session\nAugust 19th | 9:15am or 4:15pm Adult & Child(ren) are welcome to attend this session\nAugust 20th | 9:15am or 4:15pm Adult Session\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPlease sign up via the Google Form and select either a morning or afternoon session for each day.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCost $100 per family: This program is affordably priced at $100 with busy schedules in mind. Select from payment methods offered on the Google form. \nAbout the Instructor: Guiding Good Choices Instructor\, Duxbury Therapist and Scituate Middle School Guidance Counselor\, Amy Mahoney talks about all the risky decisions teens are likely to contemplate and how family values can be the greatest risk protector for kids. \nDo I have to attend all four sessions? It’s okay to miss a session for family commitments during the summer.

SUMMARY:DSU Banana Ball Camp
DESCRIPTION:Baseball just got Bananas! Join DSU on Thursday\, September 24th from 10:30-4:00pm.\nExpect a day of fan and player entertainment with Banana Ball rules\, dancing\, swimming\, the best Ballpark food\, trivia and never seen before innovation. DSU Banana Ball Camp is where every kid can be the MVP. \nYour child doesn’t have to be the best baseball player. They just need to be willing to have fun. \nWhen: Thursday\, May 7th\nTime: 10:30am Alden\, 11:15pm DMS\, 12.30pm Chandler \nLunch consists of quesadillas and guacamole\, Blender Cafe treat and swimming at Percy Walker Pool. \nAlden students meet DSU staff in the Alden Lobby at 10:30am.  DMS walks over at 11:15am. Chandler 1st and 2nd grade can be dropped off at 12:30pm. Swim at 1:00pm. \nWhat to bring: \n\nBring a bathing suit\, towel. Goggles are optional.\nAll campers are required to complete a one-time Percy Walker Pool consent form for the 2026-27 school year.\nCampers may bring nut-free snacks and a water bottle.\nQuesadilla Lunch and Blender Cafe treat is included in the price of camp.\nPlease advise of any allergies.\n\nFee: $75 Alden /$65 Chandler per student (includes lunch\, treat\, and swim) \nA late fee is $25 for every 15 minutes after 4pm. Please make dismissal plans with DSU and your child prior to the end of the day. All camp fees are non-refundable.
