This week we celebrate 4th July with the ultimate Ferris Bueller moment for kids to ride the DSU float down Washington Street\, waving to the crowds and throwing candy. \n \nPlease note camp hours including special 4th of July timing/location: \n\nMonday July 3rd: 9am to 2pm at DSU\nTuesday July 4th: 12pm to 4pm (Drop-off at Bay Road\, Pickup at DSU at 4pm.)*\n\nWednesday July 5th: 9am to 2pm at DSU\nThursday July 6th: 9am to 2pm at DSU\nFriday July 7th: 9am to 2pm at DSU\n\n\n*Participation in the 4th July parade is optional. SUMMARY:Computer Building Camp  (3 days June 20-22)
DESCRIPTION:Computer Building Camp – June 20 – 22 at DSU (3 days from 4pm to 6pm each day) \nCalling all engineers\, programmers\, gamers\, and tech wizards! DSU has teamed up with DHS senior Bradley Harrington to host a computer building camp for students entering 6th grade and older. Participants will identify parts of a computer\, install proper software\, assemble a computer from start to finish\, and leave with the knowledge to build their own computer. \n\n \nComputer Building camp is $110 for 3 days\, 4pm-6pm with pizza to celebrate on the last day. Space is limited. All computer components will be provided for building purposes. Computer builders will receive Bradley’s Builders Cheat sheet at the end of camp\, which will include his recommended vendors for purchasing components parts to build their computer. Bradley will also share his contact information after the camp if builders have questions.\n\n\n \nAbout the Instructor\n\nBradley is an avid computer builder. He started tinkering in the 5th grade and built his own computer. Over the years he has built many computers for friends and family. He has loved sharing his knowledge and has hosted classes with middle schoolers and a few ambitious Alden students. Bradley is studying Computer Science in the fall at Boston College. His first computer\, now a powerful version 3.0 with upgrades and switched out parts\, will go with him to college for gaming and homework.
