DESCRIPTION:Get ready to take your care-giving skills to the next level at the Family Care Master Class on June 24th & 25th from 6-8:30pm (please note this is a two evening commitment). \nLearn essential care-giving techniques\, boost confidence through interactive sessions\, and gain expertise in managing various situations\, from transitions to emergencies. Perfect for sitters aged 14 and up. Completion of the Family Care Master Class will earn placement in the DSU Sitter Registry and CPR/First Aid certification. \nYour Master Class leaders are a carefully selected group of local care experts: \n\nOn June 24th\, caregivers will be led by Liv Anello\, Suzanne Sullivan\, and Heather McGraw\,\nOn June 25th\, by Jared Waters and Zach O’Sullivan.\n\nMeet the Masters \nLiv Anello is a seasoned caregiver\, having started as a mother’s helper\, graduating to a full-time home manager\, and now working at DSU as Program Director. \nSuzanne Sullivan is a valuable teacher who joins us from Duxbury High School. Suzanne teaches a number of Family & Consumer Science classes at DHS including Child Growth and Development\, and Early Childhood Education which pairs students with an Alden Elementary School classroom to intern in. \nHeather McGraw is the founder of NannyTucket\, a family placement agency primarily on Nantucket and nationwide. Heather is also a local mom to four thoughtful and well-rounded kids! \nJared Waters and Zach O’Sullivan join us as EMTs from the Duxbury Fire Department and will be leading the CPR/First Aid training. They are excited to teach and support teens in managing emergency situations such as choking\, allergic reactions\, and childhood injuries.

We’ve got backyard games\, swimming\, arts\, trivia challenges\, ice cream and lots of fun activities to make new friends of all ages. SUMMARY:Computer Building Camp  (3 days June 20-22)
DESCRIPTION:Computer Building Camp – June 20 – 22 at DSU (3 days from 4pm to 6pm each day) \nCalling all engineers\, programmers\, gamers\, and tech wizards! DSU has teamed up with DHS senior Bradley Harrington to host a computer building camp for students entering 6th grade and older. Participants will identify parts of a computer\, install proper software\, assemble a computer from start to finish\, and leave with the knowledge to build their own computer. \n\n \nComputer Building camp is $110 for 3 days\, 4pm-6pm with pizza to celebrate on the last day. Space is limited. All computer components will be provided for building purposes. Computer builders will receive Bradley’s Builders Cheat sheet at the end of camp\, which will include his recommended vendors for purchasing components parts to build their computer. Bradley will also share his contact information after the camp if builders have questions.\n\n\n \nAbout the Instructor\n\nBradley is an avid computer builder. He started tinkering in the 5th grade and built his own computer. Over the years he has built many computers for friends and family. He has loved sharing his knowledge and has hosted classes with middle schoolers and a few ambitious Alden students. Bradley is studying Computer Science in the fall at Boston College. His first computer\, now a powerful version 3.0 with upgrades and switched out parts\, will go with him to college for gaming and homework.

SUMMARY:Red Sox Opening Day Camp Thursday March 30th
DESCRIPTION:Wear your favorite sports attire and enjoy spring games and baseball art projects. Open to Alden students at 10:30am and Chandler students at 12:30pm. \nBring your lunch or buy a punch card for America’s favorite ballpark favorites including popcorn\, Fenway Franks for lunch and an ice cream sundae. \nOpen to all Alden\, DMS and 1st & 2nd grade Chandler School students* \n\n$65 Alden starts at 10:30am. DSU staff will meet Alden Students at 10:30am.\n$65 DMS friends may join us at 11:20am\n$60 1st & 2nd graders welcome at 12:30pm*\nAdd a $6 for Lunch (includes a pizza lunch and blender snack)\n\n*Please note\, Kindergartners with an older sibling currently enrolled in DSU Alden or DMS after school programs may attend\, as an exception. \n

DESCRIPTION:March Madness continues on Wednesday March 29th with “Final Four”\nWe’ll be talking about “playoffs” and what it takes to get there\, in any sport. Teammates will participate in various physical and mental challenges that test their ability to work together\, stay positive in difficult tasks and compete at their personal best. \nBring your lunch or buy a punch card for Peel Pizza and a Blender treat. \nOpen to all Alden\, DMS and 1st & 2nd grade Chandler School students* \n\n$65 Alden starts at 10:30am.
